Our Story: Thespian Heights Academy

Our History

Thespian Heights Academy was founded in 1985 by renowned stage actress, Eleanor Vance. Eleanor envisioned a school that would not only teach the fundamentals of acting but also instill a deep appreciation for the art form. Starting with a small group of students in a converted studio on Melrose Avenue, the academy quickly gained a reputation for its rigorous training and personalized approach.

In the early 1990s, Thespian Heights expanded its curriculum to include screen acting, responding to the growing demand for actors in film and television. Under the guidance of veteran director, Arthur Sterling, the screen acting program became a cornerstone of the academy's offerings.

Today, Thespian Heights Academy boasts state-of-the-art facilities, a world-class faculty, and a thriving alumni network that spans the entertainment industry. While we have grown significantly over the years, our commitment to Eleanor Vance's original vision remains unwavering: to provide exceptional training that prepares actors for success on stage, screen, and beyond.
